but it seems a bit longer than expected. Replaced a Group 40R with a group 48, but the 48 has a bulge at the bottom of each end that made it longer than the 40R. requiring modification of the battery tray. The 1/2" height difference was expected.

If you've ever changed a lawn tractor battery, you know how hard it is to get one in and out of the battery tray. The handles make it go in and out much easier. My mower now starts fasters and even seems to run smoother!
